Putting aside the popularity of the Warhammer franchise and judging this game on its own merits I rate it as a mediocre experience that has a lot of potential for growth but is far outclassed by its competition. The multiplayer is very unstable, the skill trees are infuriating and at times counter-intuitive and this is the type of game that offers a lot of variety but no options; there are numerous ranged and melee weapons to choose from but this hasn't prevented the development of a meta seeing a lot of players using the same gear because it's commonly agreed upon as being the best.
It's pointless to offer me ten varieties of guns if only one of them seriously performs in the more difficult content, why would I ever choose to handicap myself? The graphics are nice, sufficient for what the game is, the sound effects are nothing special nor are they lacklustre and the controls are acceptable though the camera is certainly a manual experience.
Ultimately, if you're a fan of Warhammer there are better games, if you like action role play games, there are better games... If you want both of those elements in a single game, you might as well play this one until something else presents itself.
