Of all the books in the Empire series, this one is my favorite. It is full of angst, misunderstandings, and redemption with a rather irresistible pre-teen thrown in for good measure. If you have read Cruel King you were introduced to Nicole Adler. Boy, she was a piece of work and you wonder how she will ever redeem herself in this book... but she does. Highly recommend.

Just saw the movie on Amazon Prime. Anyone who has had a bond with a dog will immediately "get it." Those who have not, won't. It was fantastic with an exclamation point being placed when my husband said "I am so glad you rented that movie." Nuff said.

This is one of the best if not THE best book I've read in this genre. I understand that Passionflix has optioned the book for film and can't wait. The story is wonderful, filled with moments of intense happiness, angst and suspense as the main characters navigate falling in love with survival. I highly, highly, highly recommend.
