Madden 23 should be the last football game created by EA sports, the basic mechanics of the game haven't changed in years creating an awful offline experience, and the games core selling feature MUT is a gambling sh*tshow where the players value is determined by an ability, EA has struggled to keep pace with industry standards in every facet of game design while simultaneously creating an awful user experience revolving around giving the company money increasingly more money after already having to shell out 90 dollars CAD for a game worth maybe 20. If a game is so bad that a whole industry for buying in game currency is created to combat an awful pack system then you know you've failed.

If I could leave 0 stars I would, truly some of the worst experiences I’ve had in my life have been while playing this game. The rights to make games for the NFL should be stripped from EA along with their rights to make video games in general. Truly a company so obsessed with squeezing every dollar out of a game that wouldn’t have been good in 2005 and creating something I would be ashamed to call a video game rather than a marketing ploy by people who call themselves developers. Winning feels exhausting, losing is demoralizing, and the in game processes are expensive and dull. I would happily give up all my money to allow the devil people at blizzard to make this game rather than EA, at least there would be something new.
