to be honest, I wasnt expecting much, since musicals tend to get ruined when made into film. But I was pleasantly surprised. I loved that they stuck to basically all of the original script, songs and words and all. there were some additions (as always) but I was mostly cool with them. The new song, The Anonymous Ones was so heartfelt and lovely. On the acting part, I loved most (especially ben platt, and he DOES look 16) but connor's parent seemed so artifical and just bad. The father was mostly a mask, even though he has a very heartfelt song in the musical. In general, I found it a pleasant movie, and at a much higher level than your usual broadway-turned-into-film movies.
