My favorite guilty pleasure has become painful to watch. I have seen every episode of Doctor Who since it’s inception (granted, several of the old episodes were reconstructed for having been lost ), and nothing pains me more than to watch this season. I love Jody Whitaker, I think she’s a fine actress, and might have made a great Doctor Who. However, the writing and direction of this series has been abysmal. Chris Chibnall has taken an amazing franchise and turned it into yesterday’s wash water. I can’t help but feel that the franchise will die at his hand. Sad.
