You just put a national average of school teacher pay at around $66,000. I do believe you should look at state to state teacher pay for a public school teacher. I went to school to be a teacher, but the pay is not enough. A single person like myself cannot afford to live on a teacher salary. To add to the fact, teachers don't get paid leave to have a family is a huge slap in the face.
