FIFA 23 isn't much different from FIFA 22 and 21. After playing the first six or seven games of FIFA 23 on PlayStation 5, I didn't feel a good gameplay improvement frankly. There are nice graphics, grasses, and a few noticeable new animations. But not much. Additionally, there are changes in Career Mode and FUT Champion. So there are three most important points that EA must do first.
One: The ball collision with the players on the pitch, which is really bad now and also in previous years. For example, when a player reacts with the ball, it is not a very professional encounter. That seriously has to be fixed. The physicality of the player who hits the ball in his leg or elsewhere or who wants to stop the ball with his leg or chest is very cartoonish really. It's not realistic as well.
Two: The players' walk is like running on ice. You feel like the players are walking on an ice sheet and they don't want to fall. Thus, you don't feel the weight of the players running on the grass.
Three: It is true that some players have their signature running styles, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Pogba, Mahrez, Sterling, and the recent addition of Mbappe. But running alone is not enough. All there is running. But when running with the ball or without the ball, or shooting, passing, tackling, etc… everything must look like the real player, like the authentic one. They all shoot the ball with the same style and like every else.
Those are the most three important things. I hope EA fully addresses those three points.
