All time classic: images, theme music, performances, haunt the memory forever. Genius is rare - it is original vision leading the way, springing from the inner flame. In an age when even then it had all been done before, here is a bundle of magical surprises, tumbling from Kurosawa's mind. Everything blends into the whole. My favourite is the little foxes, that music is transcendental: haunting, primal, merging with the private, secret little race of foxes. But all, all of them so different, offer rare experiences and insights to those aware. I have no right to offer opinions on such great work, I only want to share my awe and admiration of it and give thanks for it.
