the hunger games COMPLETELY changed my life (that sounds dramatic) but OH MY GOD. the whole series is so addicting and so emotional it just sucks you into this world where literally its all you can think about. katniss everdeen (played by jennifer lawrence) is such a compelling and perfect character that really impacts the whole thing. all the characters are truly amazing and you get really attached to them (other than the bad people like CATO or glimmer or whatever) and their deaths really make you SOB. (i couldnt stop crying) the whole trilogy (first four movies but there is only 3 books WHICH I HAVE READ) is absolutely AMAZING and seriously life changing. the only complaint i have about the first four movies is ONE thing. How they left out madge. in the books, she was the one who gave katniss the mockingjay pin but in the movies she gets it from the hobfrom greasy sae. I dont like how they completely left her out from the movies since she was such a big role in the books and deserved to have a place in the movies. but other than that, these movies are seriously the best thing ever and if you havent watched them PLEASE DO. id say best age group is anywhere from 10 or older. my mom loves these movies/books to and shes 34 so yeah it definitely appeals to older audiences too. its amazing. now lets talk about the new movie, the prequel, the ballad of songbirds and snakes. i saw this movie about 2 months ago and OH MY GOD. believe it or not, out of all the 5 movies tbosbas (the ballad of songbirds and snakes abbreviated) is my FAVORITE. i know that might be an upopular opinion due to the fact tbosbas is a prequel, but i LOVE IT. the whole storyline of snow and lucy gray really is crazy. it shows why snow always hated katniss since she reminded him of lucy AND sejanus. its so cool to makes the parallels to the original four movies (which took place in the 74th annual hunger games when president coriolanus snow was the evil ruler of panem) to the past (where it shows coriolanus snow as an 18 year old and his past of being a mentor in the 10th annual hunger games). The whole movie was so well written and amazing and i loved it. they did make a lot of changes from the book, which i have read, but i think that was due to time management considering the fact tbosbas book is 517 pages long. coriolanus snow (played by tom blyth) is such a amazing character and i love watching his transition from good to evil as he slowly starts to choose power over ''love'' (he was possessive, lets all admit it but i did believe he somewhat loved lucy gray) SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING FOR TBOSBAS!! - i love how at the end lucy grays fate is unanswered so you can make these awesome theories in your head about what really happened to her. suzzane collins truly is a genius. ALL IN ALL, i rate the hunger games 5/5 and 100% RECCOMEND IT. it is suspenseful, dramatic, and SOOO entertaining. the contrast between survival and love in all 5 movies is SO FREAKING INCREDIBLE. if you havent watched these movies, you really should because they are absolutely amazing!!! :D
