Janaka and Ashtvakra
By Ashraf Karayath.
Book is divided into four parts
Mithya, Samsara, Sankalpa, Maya.
It contains a story about the great king Janaka and Ashtvakra, Since the great moral of the life of Janaka has been to gain spirituality, Ashtvakra helps him to interpret his dream and find the answers.
"The lessons of Ashtavakra, if one understands it correctly, will liberate you and take you to the infinite domain in a flash of second."
The narration keeps us on the edge. Lots of new characters added and left a mark on the narrative. -This novel is rooted in ancient Indian spiritual wisdom and philosophy, but with new interpretations of the concepts of liberation, enlightenment, consciousness and the realities of life.
This book will appeal to a lot of readers interested in mythological fiction.
The author's writing style is Good, except for where I personally felt it was kind of verbose for my tastes. The twists and turns in the story kept me hooked until the end.
Overall :
I however liked reading the authors interpretation of these stories.
It was an interesting read.
