A lot to like here, but you’ll have to turn your “remember, this is Hollywood” filter on ‘max’ and ignore how unrealistic the battle strategies of the bad guys were. I guess the enemy in every movie has to be half-witted to allow the protagonists to live long enough for a story to be told.
Too bad, because there’s some great character development and acting, and the real tanks used and battle effects were good. And that’s mostly what this movie is about, despite all the battlefield action - the characters.
Enjoyable enough to watch at home sometime, but glad I didn’t plan an evening around it. Oh, and for Brad Pitt lovers, he plays a great role - pretty much the man every other man dreams of being — of course.
Think I’ll go watch Bullet Train for the fourth time :D
