It's quite a good show but it is soooo over the top.. The makeup, & costumes are way over the top. They would never have worn some of the costumes that are in the show let alone the make up.. I watch all historical programmes but this one is less authentic. Even the acting is very wooden esp by Mary but saying that I still felt compelled to watch it. Comparing it to Vikings, Outlander, The Borgias, it dosent compare.
