After 22 years without a release Hum has come out with their latest offering, Inlet. From start to finish, (which should take almost an hour) this 8 track LP doesn't fail to capture what made Hum so great to begin with. Along with that comes a more subdued but engaging vocal delivery by the lead singer and guitarist, Matt Talbot. The production on this album is insane, as it should draw you in from the first track Waves. Which is a droning, riff-tastic piece of Shoegaze mixed with Metal mixed with the blessings of the Rock 'n Roll Gods themselves. If you like big riffs, lots of atmosphere, and amazing lyrics, check this album out, as well as their other 4 albums which are just as fantastic.
