Recently, I have found a lot of tv drama to be uninspiring. I began to think it was because I'm getting old and perhaps was losing my patience with it all, until After the Party came along. It might be a little bit slow in the first episode but please, stick with it. Remarkable performances by all, especially from Robyn Malcolm, Peter Mullan and Tara Canton. In fact, perhaps it's unfair to highlight those three because everyone was superb. All credit to Peter Salmon for his brilliant direction and the support of all the crew.

Contrived, slow, over performed, arch and as for Meryl Streep, what an affected British accent. Too studied and unreal. I cannot, for one moment, understand why it got the accolades it did. Having said that, it was nicely shot although I'm convinced that the yacht in the background, was too modern for the time that particular part of the movie was set. All in all, over indulgent nonsense. Give it a miss.

I feel had they stopped at the end of the first series, I would have given this a near five star review. Failing that, perhaps they should have made a separate storyline for each episode. By the time I had got to the end of series three, I was utterly exhausted and had no real sympathy for any of the characters. Such a shame as I wanted to like this.

There are very few movies I would give five out of five stars to. If I could award this six out of five, I would. A heartwarming love story which has some aspects all couples can relate to. The performances from all the cast were first rate, I was totally absorbed by them. I almost felt I was intruding into the lives of these two.It was shot beautifully and the sound was as it should be, real. As far as I could tell, there were no overdubs. Lala Costa and Josh O' Connor held my attention throughout the movie with their truly believable performances and Harry Wootliff's story/screenplay and direction could not be faulted. Well done to everyone who took part. It was a joy to watch. Thank you.

Dreadful. I expected so much more but sadly, that was not to be. Predictable, formulaic movie that I would suggest people pass by.

It is gratifying that at the time of my writing, there have only been 5 star reviews, because that is what this deserves. I am cautious not to give too much away so perhaps I should just say that the cast are superb. In fact, the best performances I have seen in my near 63 years on this earth. The storyline is faultless. I urge anyone to take some time out and sit and watch this. It really is an acting, writing and directing class all in one. Well done to everyone who took part.

I didn't want to give this a star rating but I had to, otherwise I couldn't post.. Lazy writing, no discernable plot, no end. What an utter waste of time. Netflix, you should be ashamed commissioning this tat.

We sat and watched this tonight. I didn't quite know what to expect and in all honesty, the idea of the script bored me a little. How wrong was I? A delightful script and lovely performances from a superb cast. Not quite the comedy that some have touted it as but some very nice witty dialogue from time to time. Some have complained about product placement. For goodness sake, this has been going on for years. Deal with it. Forget what that nonsensical Rotten Tomatoes says, go and watch this and it will not let you down.

This was a fun movie to watch. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I don't agree with the one star reviews. It was a good enough plot for me, it had action, suspense with good performances and direction.

I have just watched this movie for the umpteenth time and I never fail to enjoy it. It is one of Jim Carrey's best roles. How it could make a $49 million loss is beyond me. Do not believe the claptrap you read on Rotten Tomatoes. Watch it and enjoy it.
