Beautifully written, The Glass House will keep you wanting to read more and more. You can get lost in the authors writing style as it’s captivating and the way she sets the scene is magical. Believable characters and relatable emotions. It hasn’t had me intensely gripped like other books have however, it’s definitely worth a read. It’s more of a slow burner throughout but towards the end, where the revelations hit you at once and you’re then so glad you kept going with it. It’s a book where you don’t need tonnes of action or twists throughout the story to keep you reading, the character twists and plot ending is enough to make it a great read. I do highly recommend this book, for escapism, for real family secrets in beautiful settings, with painful sentences at times and heartbreak in the words; and for the love of Big Rita and the baby forest in all of us.
