I am really sad to have to write this review but it needs to be done in hopes that the devs even read these. For the past year or so my favorite thing to do was play Warzone with the many friends I have made online.Resurgence maps (Rebirth and Fortunes Keep) became my home and I solely played them because Caldera was lackluster. The movement,looting and almost everything I loved because I am more of a fast paced player. I had the same issues most people did with the hacking but that will forever be an issue. Speaking on the game play alone I saw nothing that needed to change as it was simple,fast and effective.Warzone 2 has let me down tremendously to the point where I have played maybe 4 times since its release compared to daily before.I have friends that played once and will not play again and that is just so unfortunate. I will admit I don’t like change but this game is far beyond that, it isn’t even Warzone anymore. More of a better graphics PUBG type of game which is just not appealing. Warzone was great because it was different and now that is all gone. The loadouts,looting,perks,movement and everything is just terrible and you waste so much time on a huge map just to get killed by campers and it feels like such a waste. It’s a classic case of fixing/changing things that were NOT broken! Hopefully a resurgence map will come soon but even then a LOT needs to change because the looting and buy system will not fly on a more fast paced compact map. No slide canceling is not an issue and the weapons and even the map are actually great it’s just all the rest I have mentioned that has ruined it for me. I believe the old game play system needs to come back or at least keep the original Warzone including resurgence in the picture for those of us that can’t stand this new one. Of course they wouldn’t do that because they know this new game would go to crap and everyone would be back to the old. I miss being so excited to come home everyday and play and now I go weeks without even opening the game. The multiplayer is great so at least there is that. Please just fix warzone to be more like before I promise more players would prefer that. Don’t even get me started on the UI that is just another mess that didn’t need to be redone. Anyway, I hope someone agrees with all that I’ve said and I can actually be happy to play a game that I loved for so long in the future.
