Hard to explain but the way the book is written you feel very distant from the characters the entire time. There's a lack of intensity in the writing. The writing is almost emotionless. I'll start to get into the dialogue... and then it just falls flat somewhere. It's almost like a sequence of sentences but no flow. I read little fires everywhere and. I don't remember feeling this way while reading it. Book has potential but feels like a draft---- sorry Celeste The narrator is not doing it's job. Maybe this would be example of a book better written in first person
