NO SPOILERS Shamshera an upper Vs lower caste movie set in the backdrop of British rule where the British seem the best guys apparently is below average. 10 mins in the first 20 mins is interesting. Movie quite dull after that. Picked up at 1 hr 30 mins for about 10 odd minutes. Some scenes are spectacular for its grandness specially a romantic nbr between Vani and Ranbir featuring some under water piece. Movie ridiculous in quite some parts. Obvious with its influence from many south and Hollywood movies. Music is average. Vani seems out of place. U don’t feel for the characters and don’t get adrenaline rush. Felt like the movie could have been shorter. Shuddh Singh character seems menacing in most parts. Ranbir has done better films with better acting tbh. A twist 2hrs into the movie tries to lift things up where Shuddh Singh is the bad guy and British compassionate and that’s where it sucks again. A little later things get funny and reminds u of other movie plot inspirations. As it drags to a closure it gets beyond ridiculous. Overall movie is boring with uninspiring performances and probably expects the audience to love and respect the British and paint a picture where a section of Indians hate another section of Indians. Thankfully it sucks at that too. The crows/ravens acted really well though 😂 PS: I strongly recommend u to watch this movie. Don’t want to be the only one who had to endure this torture Shamshera
