I found this movie immensely dull, and these two stars are for J Moore alone. Williams, though a wonderful actor, had zero emotions or expressions on her face. The little boy Jai was more emotive than her. It kind of made me feel the character Williams played could never be happy with anything. My biggest miff with Netflix was how the subtitles said people were speaking in Bengali, when it was so evident from the temple structures, to the writings on the registration plate to the walls that this was Tamil Nadu. Hope Netflix fixes it because for someone who understands both languages are different, this stuck out like a sore thumb. May be a one time watch for some, I struggled through it. Felt like the movie wanted to be artsy, but it was just boring.
