As I sat down and got ready for the movie on opening premiere day with a sold out room you can just feel and see the excitement from everyone as we’re all talking amongst each other how we can’t believe the day has finally arrived and we’re all guessing what’s going to happen and reminiscing on the first movie, we’re all just really excited for the movie to start..
Once the movie started and after all the main characters made they’re first appearance after almost 40 years the clapping and excitement had left the room and it was nothing but quiet the rest of the movie, you can see and feel the disappointment from the room. No one even laughed once. When the movie was over no claps where given and people seemed to look confused and disappointed just like I felt the same way. As the lights came on and we were all leaving you can hear people say..
“Well that was a let down”
“Tim Burton is old and probably just loosing his touch”
“Im so mad I just watched that”
“Should’ve left that classic alone”
I’m not sure how everyone in the studio looked at this movie script and thought it was gonna be a good idea.
Don’t get me wrong it was amazing being able to see the character Beetlejuice back on screen with all the new high quality cinematic cameras but besides that… that’s just it unfortunately there’s really no reason for me to ever watch this movie again.
Such a shame😔
Storyline was all over the place
Wasn’t any character attachment at all
Didn’t have much of the dark Tim Burton style
They made Beetlejuice seem corny with his jokes
(Most likely due to how soft society has become)
Movie overall just felt rushed and disorganized
The way they incorporated the main villain throughout the movie was pointless, if you were to get rid of the main villain it would have absolutely no impact on the story whatsoever
Never thought I’d ever dislike a Tim Burton movie the way I disliked this one..
