I love this show and its honest portrayal of navigating life with family dynamics, friends and relationships, and experiencing a truly authentic existence and point-of-view from Sabi. I love the cast and all of the characters as well as the storylines. I really like the pacing and progression of the show. I appreciate the warmth and comedic elements but also how much depth it has. It does a good job balancing lighthearted elements with more serious events that take place.
As a queer and trans person myself, when I watched season one for the first few episodes, I couldn’t help but feel tense or worry about Sabi’s safety as a non-binary individual not knowing what to expect initially. It is so refreshing to watch the show knowing that Sabi is embraced with so much love and respect by their friends, family, and general interactions with anyone else.
Highly recommend watching!
