3.37/5 Paava kadhaigal is a fantastic anthology. My top 2 are "thangam" and oor "iravu", Stirred up my emotions to the peak and left me in shambles! I have no better word than, "fantastic" to describe it. The only reason I've rated it 3 stars is because of "love panna uttranum" and vaanmagal. Love panna uttranum's whole storyline seemed so messed up, I understand the point is to show the agonies caused by castesim etc but the reconciliation at the end just ruined it for me. The man should have been put behind bars for his actions. I would've appreciated a more emotional approach rather than trying to add unnecessary humor. The girl lost her twin because of her father but yet she reconciles with him rather than turning him in... If they were going with a dark theme, then giving the villian and victim a mutually happy ending makes utterly no sense. Vaanmagal just didn't do anything for me in regard to emotions. I've never been a big fan of gvm's direction either so it wasn't my cup if tea. Individual ratings 1) Thangam ☆☆☆☆☆ This made me cry dude! Everyone did such an amazing job with their acting. The screenplay, the music, the acting everything was top notch! Seriously kalidas and the co actor who played sarvanan killed it!!! 2) Love panna utttanum ☆ 3) Vaanmagal ☆☆.5 4) Oor Iravu ☆☆☆☆☆ Absolutely dark and emotional. Prakash raj's and sai Pallavi's acting was just mind blowing!
