Very dark and very gritty. Some overtones of the movie Seven felt throughout the plot. Robert Pattinson definitely makes Batman feel more human and fallible. Not once did I feel like I was watching Edward as a bat. So don't trouble yourself with that worry. If you like Bat gadgets you may be a little disappointed. It's more detective noire and action hero. The only reason I left out the fifth star was due to the anti-white and anti-rich overtones.

I am approaching this from a 100% honest point of view and I love Star Wars. If you remove your Star Wars blinders, you will see it looks cheap and rushed. Bad fight choreography. Bad make-up (body paint). Boba Fett is fat somehow after being trapped in the Sarlacc pit. He takes over Jabba's Palace even though in poor health somehow. Let's get real. This is Disney trying to cash in on the success of The Mandolorian. We all love Boba Fett. Not Boba Fatt. You can do better Kathleen, right???

What I got from the hour I made it into the movie is that it's full of subliminal anti-boomer anti-capitalism propaganda. A very convoluted plot that craps on the first three movies. Nowhere near the drive or energy of the first one. Keneau Reeves just looks confused and old in this. What a shame.

I want to like it. Some bad choices in the actors though. Especially Faye Valentine's character. She is crude and shrill. I hope I never have to see her in anything again. The style is there, but it feels too Robert Rodriguez. Too much cussing with bland dialog.

Missing the iconic music and beautiful backdrops of the original. Kevin hasn't been able to capture the fun innocence of the 1983 classic either. Art is top now notch as far as the characters go, though. Dialog is stiff. It's funny how they did away with the sexy outfits from the originals and opted for a more butch look for the female characters. Just another attempt to pacify the angry gender-neutral millenials by toning down on sexuality. This is why the world is so bland now.
