Horrible portraying of historical India. Fake to its core. I can't stop myself comparing Beecham House to Downton Abbey...with its upstairs masters and downstairs household staff. Maybe casting Downton Abbey's cook Mrs Patmore as Henriette, John's mother was a bad idea. Chanchal, the nanny of baby August Beecham, has too much attitude for an indian woman of the low cast, especially in the 1800. I was expecting a more appropriate portrayal of the real thing of that time when the British took over India. May be watching some of the Bollywood movies made over this very topic would have helped the director of this show. Very disappointed.
