I have ALWAYS have been a true Barbie fan since I was a little girl. Today I took my 7yr old daughter. She has no idea that I thought the movie was not worth it because after all it was a girls date and that of course matters more than anything BUT what I will say, my daughter talked through the whole movie, it couldn’t even hold her attention. I really wish they would have had a better story line… geared it towards a younger girl. Not so much about Kenland but more towards what the beginning talked about. About how Barbies have empowered little girls to become anything they wanted to be. Make believe, imagination the good times. Motivate girls to play with toys more versus electronics etc. This movie was silly, Goofy and geared more towards adults versus kids. Just not worth the hype. I will say from an adults perspective the ending was funny. But not really for kids.
