This book provided a brief, but excellent history of how Bethlehem Steel broke from the pack of smaller steel companies to become a huge war time supplier and one of the most important and powerful companies in the country. Most people do not know of the impact this company had on our history, Bethlehem built the Empire State building and most of the New York skyline. It literally built the Golden Gate Bridge and played a huge roll in construction of the Panama Canal. The pistons for the engine in Charles Lindberg's Spirit of St. Louis were forged in Bethlehem's home plant in Bethlehem, PA. I spent 30 years with the company, but I learned much about the company by reading this book. Great pictorial section too.
