They took a well written about, beautiful Black female character from an average to middle class family with a caring artist mom, doting dad and supporting aunt according to the book that this series is based on and turn her into a black militant and resentful female coming from a single parent household with a murdering momma trying to get out of prison for killing some abusive white guy she dragged home because she was lonely and a brother in a wheel chair who got shot by the cops! Then had the nerve to change her name from Giselle to Neveah, more of a black name and made her character into someone strait out of BLM! Its so stereotypical and down right insulting! Most Blacks wouldn't be even watching this butchered up hot mess of a series and if they are it's only because of the Black ballerina! I happen to be reviewing the book because I'm about to meet the author! Seems Netflix is just about pushing under age creepy porn instead of quality programing! With all the child sex trading issues in the news today why are all the main authority figures screwing around with the students in just about every episode!
