Watching Super Nanny is like watching un underqualified Kindergarten teacher who needs to retire. From an Applied Behavior Analysis point of view, she has done everything incorrect. She failed to define the functions of behavior; Sensory, Escape, Attention Seeking or Tangible. She also failed to define the antecedent, the behavior and the natural consequences. She scolded the parents which is a sign of someone who has not studied child development extensively. She did not use research based techniques and rather relied on experience. I don't remember her doing an appropriate assessment on the family unit. In addition, we must remember children and parents do well when they have the tools to do well. Criticizing the parents is as unprofessional as it is ridiculous. When this "super" nanny left, she left the family with a plethora of unsolved problems and lagging skills...Anyone with a background in child development and or child psychology would be deeply offended. Shame!
