There are a number of reviews in the media which point out that Gibbs and Moore present facts that are out of date.. true.. somewhat out of date.. but I think the film makes 2 important points that are glossed over by these reviews: 1. yes, we, in the West, have made progress towards renewable technology, but, this progress does not scale very well.. it needs to be applied all over the world.. and not many can afford it.. and 2. this progress is too slow, and, it seems, that we are already out of time.. or we are very, very close to the edge.. After this, and other sources I have seen, I now think Bill Gates is right.. the only available solution, within a reasonable time period and scalable to the size of the Planet, is modern nuclear energy.. Thorium tech, I think is called.. yes, it is not "green" but, it might be safer than Uranium based and it could scale which is less than we can say about other tech.. I think..
