I would have given this series a 21/2 stars if possible. I am a huge fan of this book series and have anxiously awaited a movie or series. However, the licenses that have been taken in the making of this series changes the story and the characters far too much. I like the actors that were chosen to play the different characters but the characters themselves are too different to keep the integrity of the story. For example, in the beginning of the Amazon series Perrin is married! In the book he is a shy and innocent young man that is totally perplexed and ill at ease with women. Add to that the fact that accidentally kills his wife is just too much. That is just one example of the mutilation of the characters that seems to have been made to show the enlightenment of the writers and producers. IE MorAine and the Amyrlin in a love affair. I don’t care that the Amyrlin and Moraine are lovers but it changes the dynamics of the story. This series should not be called the Wheel of Time unless they get back tot he actual story.

A completely and unrealistic view of how most people come home. I am a veteran (3 tours). I am not a screaming madman. This is the same treatment the vets from. Ietnam received. It is shameful that we act as thought anyone who serves is mentally ill. It is also shameful how we want so desperately to have a corrupt government.

I wanted to give this show higher stars but I watched season 1 episode 7. In this episode they resorted to racist and anti male rhetoric. As of that was not enough they decided that if you are a patriotic person you are open to evil and violence. The obvious political bent hurts the show and should be left out. The writers and producers can believe whatever they want but why do they have to try and indoctrinate the viewers to their prejudices?
