Sword art online is and will forever be my favorite anime. SAO was my first anime(not including Pokémon), I saw my dad watch a season one and I thought it was really good, the fighting and background music was amazing. When I got to watch it on my own I absolutely loved it! Though I wished the kept them being in SAO a little longer I wouldn’t change how the story went, everything just clicked and I will not tell you how many times I cried lol. And the cherry on top for me was the romance, I’m not one to care about romance too much( especially in anime because they tend to do the same trend, kinda in SAO too when the main character guy has like 15 girls around him that like him and he “don’t know” kinda tends to piss me off) but even though they do this I still love Kirito and Asuna’s love. It never fails to make me smile and I love their two dynamics fit so well together. So people might not like her personality, but to me that’s everything I want in a anime her(but that’s just me). I was really surprised when I heard some people don’t like SAO that much and I get it, some people not like the pot or after season 2 it does get a little confusing, but i swear it’s so good when you need it to relax and get hype at the same time( and yes I know that sounds weird, but its true) Even as I’m writing this I’m watching season 2 right now. I don’t like rewatching stuff in less I have to, to understand it. But I sometimes have a little SAO marathon and feeling that wave of nostalgia brush me over as I sit and watch one of the best anime, in my opinion, ever made. Oh and don’t get me started on the movie! I haven’t watched the second one yet but I know that it’s going to be one I’ll make my mom watch with me like I did with the other movie….. my whole family kinda likes this anime….. and we’re kinda a gamer family….and we all really like anime so this anime was kinda calling to us lol.
