Truly go by the reviews of those who "get it". I went into this knowing it was really just a comedic "survival" game where the cast has no clue what will happen next or how to get thru, they obviously figure out that the zombies aren't real (or at least some zombies would've been killed by at least the Navy Seal!)- but some Zombies do take some fun punches. I was thoroughly entertained. I couldn't stop laughing at/with them in the first episode (Ear flap guy's nervous & confused laughs are epic) and WISH I spoke Korean because the subtitles just dont work with so many people talking at the same time. But they are seriously into it, and you can tell some of them aren't sure at all whats real or not sometimes- or how to get out "alive". I'm sure they were told they'd be in some kind of game up front where no one will really die (At one point in E2 I thought someone said "You're not really going to die, you know" - I may be wrong) but were left to fend for themselves. It is unique and fun, 5% scary (the zombies are REALLY great) and you get to know each character. It shows how different people can react in the most impossible situations. I believe there are "moles" who will turn into zombies so obviously some stuff had to be scripted, (Or maybe once you got bitten with a whole stack of zombies on top of you, they quickly fill them in underneath?
Just watch at least a few episodes! Even if you assume they all know a lot more, these celebrities together are a blast to watch. Great to think of what YOU would do in their shoes!
Lost one star because at times it wasn't moving forward much and I was saying, "Come on let's make a decision already, lets go lets go" but overall- man these Koreans have been slapping the heck out of Hollywood lately - I love their crazy & unique ideas! (More Kardashians, anyone?)
