V III

Dark, emotive, suspenseful and a down right incredible film. A totally relatable Joker through Phoenix's portrayal. Shines a dim light on a society that is very close to home. As per usual the RT critic rating is way off. Does it supercede Heath's version? Personally I think it compliments his perfectly and how refreshing is it to have a Hollywood film that doesn't rely on over the top special fx and instead a solid story and powerful acting to draw a crowd in! Speak with your feet people!!

(spoiler-ish alert) I agree entirely with the review from Misho... I watched a very different film to that of which the critics seem to be raving about. Painfully slow. Essentially a story about a guy with separation issues that stops him from moving on and committing to another relationship. It shouldn't take 2.hrs to explain this. Oh and do I mention the scene with a couple of apes?! Presumably 2001 references but bizarre in the context of the film. Totally random! At times, some great cinematography and some nice CGI but it's been done before. Just can't recommend it.
