Really nice to see Bruno Lawrence in this as I only knew him from Working Dog's "Frontline", and the Anthony Hopkin's movie "Spotswood" both of which which he was fantastic in.
This is a simple story about a guy who wakes up and realises he may be the Last Man on Earth. Its not a fast-paced, action sci-fi with huge special effects or exciting gun battles. Its a poignant, slow-moving, thoughtful look at what it might be like to wake up and find everyone else gone. Would you go mad?
It definitely seems like the writers of the sitcom "Last Man on Earth" (Will Forte) used this as inspiration for their show as there are some striking similarities and in the midst of the emptiness, there are some lovely moments, some funny bits and some tense moments too. I really enjoyed it.
