I didn’t know much about the history of Vietnam and this book encouraged to research some of it to understand the context. Warning this book has numerous sad moments which is part of a lot of sad history that occurs during war and communism. I wasn’t going to finish the book since the long journey to Hanoi is very sad but I am happy that I did finish the book. A good read about how the war tore up The country
