This is a film aimed at purists who have read the book (which I have) but it is confusing, slow paced and fails to be inspiring, exciting or entertaining on its own merits. My wife fell asleep. Great scenery, effects and acting but that's not enough to make it entertaining. If you love the books then you will probably like it but it really doesn't live up to the hype.
