Just Shogun

The gameplay is fine and with just the gameplay I’d surely continue playing this game so why have I stopped? It’s because it has the worst battle pass I have ever bought. Progress is painfully slow and the majority of what you get still can’t be used because it’s locked behind other things that have completely different unlock progression. After weeks of playing I still cannot use skins that I supposedly unlocked on day 1 through the battle pass. The game has a faction that requires a large amount of XP to unlock. Before I had even unlocked this faction I had unlocked 2 different skins for one of its characters through the battle pass. Balancing the game so you don’t get multiple skins for characters you don’t have should be a no brainer but XD designers didn’t get the memo. At least, surely, when I unlocked the faction I could finally use those skins, right? Wrong. I still have to play several hours using a specific skill before I unlock the character that can use these skins. When I finally unlocked the faction and saw I still couldn’t use the skin I “unlocked” on day 1 that was it. I definitely won’t be playing this game anymore and it honestly has me questioning if I’ll ever put money towards any Ubisoft game again.
