I personally had a great time. It's not going to win any Oscars but I wasn't expecting Black Panther, (or Green Book or Lady Gaga's vocals) to do some comparisons to it's prior MCU Counterparts I'd say Captain Marvel is around Captain America The First Avenger/ Ant Man level. It's not perfect, but I personally had a good time and was willing to look past the flaws and the whole was better than the sum of it's parts. I wish this whole movie wasn't so divisive considering how innocuous it really is when you sit down and watch it. But the world is complicated and I'm not going to waste my breath facing off against an ocean of Internet Rage. I the end, it's not for everyone but I had a great time and I won't apologise for it. Final rating 7.5/10
