Just subscribed to YouTube Premium and binge watched "Origin". The formula to the script is typical. Space-> Survival -> Mayhem -> Death -> To Be Continued. If the series would have concluded at "I Am" itself, and if I Paul W.S. Anderson would have directed all the episodes, I would have loved it more perhaps.
IMDB states the plot: A group of strangers struggle for survival aboard a spaceship heading to a distant planet.
So you got your cliched Aliens, Sunshine, Life, Interstellar references through out, but the suspense factor remains till the end which was satisfying for me. Performances by all the casts were mediocre, but it was a honest effort. Can't do much in a recurrent spaceship-alien-encounters genre, right! Now a days, our higher brain function does premonition of what's coming next for almost all genres, movies/series, what-have-you. Sen Mitsuji and Natalia Tena have acted well and do justice to their roles. Apart from that, overall, just OK.
