This is a first class news operation. Having spent more than 20 years as a college journalism professor, and before that a professional journalist, I include NHK news broadcasts as part of my daily diet of information and urge others to do it as well. Forget social media and all the misinformation, disinformation and regurgitation of conspiracy theories that reinforce people's previously held beliefs. The unbiased presentation of news serves all of us well. Everyone should balance out the news provided by half a dozen reliable sources, and I'd urge everyone to make NHK one of that half dozen.
