Just wonderfull; very cleverly antagonises me as a white English woman, the turns it all around on us, a revelatory novel and, by then, deeply troubling and heartbreaking. A wonderful novel! It's very clearly allegorical and should be taken as such. It's not real - although it hints at reality.
