There's obviously many talking points here on this film, but the scene after Fontaine first visits Slick Charles is incredible. You feel the fear, you know it's coming, and you almost feel the same hesitation that Fontaine does stepping out of the car.
All of this punctuated by the gritty, exterior dim lights of a trap house motel and the sinister bass rattling of an evil whip fading into the night. The sound is PERFECT.
You can feel Slick Charles watching from behind the curtains, and you kind of wish he had some orange juice to help him wash all the mayhem away.
