I was so impressed by the amazing period detail and historically correct reflection of the mood of those times. It doesn’t hold back a lot of things are shocking - the anti semitism that goes right into the heart of the French establishment , the misogyny ,the grinding poverty in contrast to the bored wealthy citizens seeking new highs . It’s all there ! Riveting stuff!
