I watched the entire mini series so many times that I have lost count at this point. It is one of the best, if not THE best, documentary series I have ever seen. It fairly represents both sides of the conflict and you will learn personal stories about lesser known figures such as Mary Chestnut and Sam Watkins from the South and Elisha Hunt Rhodes and Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain from the North. It is absolutely worth your time whether you love this time period in history or not. It is vital for us as Americans to understand as best we can the Civil War and its implications for today.
