Watching tonight about Covid payment. My severe Autistic and intellectual disability son was sick on 30/6/22 and he was tested +ve on 2.7.22 and also us. As a front line healthcare worker (radiographer)for 28 years, I had to use my last 3 days iof sick leave and the rest annual leave ( 2 weeks totally as we were still sick after 7 days of isolation). We are not allowed to take annual leave for last 2 years already. Now I have to use my annual leave to make a living as we have mortgage to pay. They will run out and I will not be able to have any break being with my son. We have seen a lot staff coming on 7th day and they are still sick or they get Covid on 7th day as close contact. In am doing the right thing to make sure I don’t spread on to staffs and patients if I am still not well to come back. With the way it is going on, no wonder the rate going up. We need to feed the family. It is going around in the circle. We are so tired and sick, being under staff. Get up to the point no one want to come back even for overtime
