The plot is boring, the characters are not fleshed out at all, there were many strange and unnecessary tangents that went nowhere and lowered the overall quality of the movie, and it doesn't seem like anyone involved in the creation of this movie understands what makes horror movies scary. The monster looked like a toddler tried to put a model dinosaur together and mixed in some doll parts. When it started moving I laughed so hard that I had a neighbor bang on the ceiling to complain about the noise for the first time in my life, so I will give it points for comedy. I don't recommend this movie to anyone, but especially not anyone who has liked the book the movie is allegedly based off of and is hoping to see that story in film, it clearly isn't the story the director wanted to tell.
