I loved this installment of the Spielberg/Hanks WW2 series. I wasn’t overly familiar with the story of the 100th but am now. I’ve read a lot of complaints about character development but the reality is these young men died at alarming and heartbreaking rates. I do wish there were a few more episodes to focus on stories and delve a little more into the POW side of the war. I felt the characters were cast appropriately, especially Egan, and enjoyed their performances. If anything can be accomplished by this series, it’s the hope more people read about the air campaign of the war so the brave stories of this greatest generation is not lost to history.
