I haven't played any pokemon games since alpha sapphire on the 3ds which was about 7 or 8 years ago. I was very skeptical about the open world play for a pokemon game considering the fact that I'm used to playing the very forward, one direction type games that the others were, so at first I was frustrated by how slow Pokemon Violet was. However, the more I played the more I realized how great it was. There are so many different directions you can take and the freedom the game offers was really amazing. I saw the reviews for the game and saw that they were either really good or really bad but thought I'd take a chance, and I loved this game. I really hope they make more games like this. If you like Pokemon games and an open world experience, this is the game for you.
