as someone who didn’t grow up in the 80s and had only seen maybe three of the movies they refer to, st. elmo’s fire not being one of them which they keep referencing, the film lacked a narrative in the sense of there felt no clear resolution, andrew McCarthy addresses with each person the trials and tribulations of the brat pack name however he keeps going back and fourth between being okay with it and upset about it rather than maybe the story starting with upset and ending with okay or something like that, it felt more just chronologically put together in the order of people they interviewed and not in like sort of story line
