Overall I enjoyed the movie minus the constant swearing which I felt was a bit much & distracting from the storyline. I wish this was two separate movies as the time was split between Ma Rainey & Levee Greens lives. It lacked a bit of depth to their individual stories. Performances by Viola & Chadwick were amazing but I thought Colman “Cutler” had an exceptional performance in this film as well.
